Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
Known as RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), this is an automated identification method that retrieves and stores data remotely, though tags. These tags allow the identification of the object in which they are applied, containing information such as origin, destination, and object manufacturing date, among others. The writing and reading of this information in the tags is made with specific devices, through radiofrequency signals. This equipment is capable of exchanging data with computers systems.
It is an automated identification system that works through radio frequencies, retrieving and storing data remotely through devices that can be presented in several formats, the most common one is the Smart Tag. The Smart Tags have an antenna and a microchip, thus allowing automatic capture of data for identification of objects and people through emission of radiofrequency signals to readers that receive this information.
Valid took another step towards the future and became the first and only company to manufacture in Brazil with radiofrequency identification, antennas and inlays, in several shapes, substrates and protocols.
One of the greatest advantages of systems based on RFID is the fact that they allow coding in hostile environments and in products in which bar code use is not effective.
Valid manufactures the complete solution, from the tag and the software to the integration. It is the only company that produces tags in Brazil, with silicone purchased from a Brazilian producer, and offers consulting services to identify the best solution and application methods. In addition, it handles the implementation, training and monitoring.
